Launched in Colchester
May 2017
Harris + Wood began in May 2017, when founders Shane Harris and Marc Wood launched the company in Colchester City Center with a clear vision to deliver world-class marketing and outstanding customer service - grounded in personal relationships.
Harris + Wood Lettings Launches
December 2017
Just seven months later, in December 2017, we expanded into lettings with Tracy Dumont, marking the start of our full-service approach.
Harris + Wood Witham Launches
January 2021
In January 2021, we opened our new branch in Witham, moving into a fresh town and expanding our reach.
Harris + Wood Chesterwell Launches
January 2023
In January 2023, we proudly launched our third branch in Chesterwell, further strengthening our presence.
James Leigh Acquisition
May 2025
In May 2025, our Lettings team acquired the entire book of James Leigh (Basildon) - bringing their clients and expertise into the Harris + Wood family.
